The Pierandeau house (Les Puis d'Ardanne, Chalais, near Loudun in the Vienne (86)) is decorated with Frescos, including portraits of the Pirandeaus and their associates, a monumental fireplace of carved lavoux, and a ceiling of 88 panels. The 4 principal panels (see "Paros" and "Phyne" here) as well as the frieze over the fireplace, tell the story of Praxitelies, his model Phryne and his celebrated Venus of Cnide. Pierre and Chantal Pirandeau run a stone quarry at Vayolles. They have cooperated with Paul Rhoads on several projects.
